By using Blur, you agree to these terms. They are short because the app is simple.
What Blur is
Blur is a personal journaling app. Your entries, photos, and recordings belong to you. Using Blur gives us no rights to your content, and we could not read it even if we wanted to, because it never reaches us.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your device and its passcode secure. The optional Face ID lock protects the app, but your device's security is in your hands.
- Make backups you trust. Blur offers iCloud key-value backup and a full export, and your journal is included in device backups, but you are responsible for keeping copies of anything irreplaceable.
- Only journal content you have the right to keep, including photos of others.
No warranties
Blur is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to protect your data, but to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for lost entries, lost photos, or any damages arising from use of the app.
Not medical advice
Journaling can support wellbeing, but Blur is not a medical or mental health service. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional or a helpline in your area.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app evolves. The current version always lives at this page, with its effective date above.
